簡介： 在立志成為畫家之前，梵高（柯克·道格拉斯 Kirk Douglas 飾）曾經是畫廊里頗有前途的售畫員，經過幾次情感失敗之后，他開始嘗試成為一名畫家。梵高悲天憫人的性格讓他能與貧窮礦工們和諧相處，用畫筆描繪他們的悲慘生活。他的畫奔放熱情、情感肆意，但卻得不到主流畫壇的欣賞。梵高邀請當時正崛起的印象派畫家高更（安東尼·奎恩 Anthony Quinn 飾）一同去法國南方作畫。多年來，弟弟提奧一直在經濟上支持梵高，甚至為他資助高更去南方的所有費用。剛開始兩人其樂融融，一起創作了很多高水準的作品，但因兩人的個性互不相容，逐漸產生激烈爭吵。高更試圖離開，梵高為此精神受打擊，試圖持刀威脅高更，高更倉皇而逃，梵高最終自殘割下了自己的耳朵。孤獨、貧困的梵高受精神病所折磨，幾度進入病院療養。而他始終沒有停止繪畫，一直在等待大眾的賞識，最終精神崩毀，開槍結束了生命。 安東尼·奎因憑此片榮獲第29屆奧斯卡金像獎最佳男配角。

簡介：A musical retelling of Charles Dickens' classic novel about an old bitter miser taken on a journey of self-redemption, courtesy of several mysterious Christmas apparitions. In 1860, cranky old miser Ebenezer Scrooge hates Christmas; loathes people and defends the decrease of the surplus of poor population; runs his bank exploiting his employee Bob Cratchit and clients, giving a bitter treatment to his own nephew and acquaintances. However, on Christmas Eve, he is visited by the doomed ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley that tells him that three spirits would visit him that night. The first one, the spirit of Christmas Past, recalls his miserable youth when he lost his only love due to his greed; the spirit of Christmas Present shows him the poor situation of Bob's family and how joyful life may be; and the spirit of Christmas Future shows his fate. Scrooge finds that life is good and time is too short and suddenly you are not there anymore, changing his behavior toward Christmas, Bob, his nephew and people in general.
