簡介：When Watson reads from the newspaper there have been two similar murders near Whitechapel in a few days, Sherlock Holmes' sharp deductive is immediately stimulated to start its merciless method of elimination after observation of every apparently meaningless detail. He guesses right the victims must be street whores, and doesn't need long to work his way trough a pawn shop, an aristocratic family's stately home, a hospital and of course the potential suspects and (even unknowing) witnesses who are the cast of the gradually unraveled story of the murderer and his motive.

簡介： 英國ABC攝制的經典間諜劇集The Avengers在整個60年代紅極一時，風靡英語世界，時至今日仍然吸引著世界各地無數的擁躉，成為和The Prisoner、Doctor Who等齊名的老牌英國Cult TV經典，而國內也曾在80年代以《復仇天使》的譯名引進其中一小部分。The Avengers系列結束10年以后，劇集制作人Brian Clemens和Albert Fennell在70年代創作、拍攝了續集The New Avengers，同樣獲得相當大的成功，國內在80年代曾以《三個偵探》的不當譯名引進。 The New Avengers沿用了The Avengers系列的男主角超級特工John Steed（Patrick Macnee），原系列中的美女搭檔換成了兩個年輕后輩Mike Gambit和Purdy。劇情配合冷戰背景，涉及間諜與反間諜、有組織犯罪、科幻等多種題材，很多創意在當時頗有前衛性，因而在70年代重掀Avengers熱潮。電視攝像與制作技術在10年間的發展，使得The New Avengers比前作顯得更為專業。雖然和如今的好萊塢大片相比，The New Avengers在噱頭和視覺效果方面要相差很多，但是在70年代其地位還是相當高的，而在今天作為懷舊經典仍然具有相當不錯的觀賞性和娛樂性。
